Also known as "The Mummer’s" and<br> "My Darling's Asleep", it is a popular Irish session<br> tune; so much so, that it is sometimes seen as hackneyed,<br> and some call it "My Darling's a Sheep."<br> The first sound recording of "My Darling Asleep" was by<br> Dan Sullivan's Shamrock Band, in 1929. It has since been recorded by<br> The Dubliners, Sean Keane, Boys Of The Lough, Jay Ungar And Molly Mason<br> and many others.<br> It was printed in both O'Neill's Music of Ireland: 1850 Melodies (1903) and<br> Dance Music of Ireland: 1001 Gems (1907) and Williamson's English,<br> Welsh, Scottish and Irish Fiddle Tunes (1976).<br> This plays well in a medley with:<br> Miller's Maggot<br> Money in Both Pockets<br> both in this section.<br> I learned this at our Monday night jam and Williamson's book.<br>
